MO-ARK KIWANIS INTERCLUBS
2018-2019 GOVERNOR’S INTER-CLUB CONTEST
WHAT IS AN INTERCLUB AND WHO CAN WE VISIT?
When a specified number of members of a Kiwanis club visit another Kiwanis Club or a Service Leadership Club at a regular meeting or any other organized Kiwanis Family function, it qualifies as an interclub. The number of members needed for an interclub is dependent upon the size of your club. You are encouraged to visit your sponsored Service leadership clubs and observe or participate in them, if possible. This includes Key Club, Key Leader, Circle K, Aktion club, Builders Club,and K-kids. Also Terrific Kids and Bugs. District Governor Gary Baker, hopes every club will interclub with every other Kiwanis Club in their Division during the contest which runs from Oct.1, 2018 to Sept. 30, 2019
RULES FOR AN INTER-CLUB
The number of members required for attending an interclub are as follows: (with club membership total as of Oct. 1, 2018) A club of 20 or less 2 members are required to constitute an interclub meeting. A club of 21 to 50 members are required to be represented by 3 members. A club of 51 members or more are required to be represented by 4 members
RULES FOR EARNING POINTS
An interclub to a club in your division: 10 points An interclub to a club outside your division: 15 points An interclub attending Mid-Winter Conference: 25 points An interclub attending International Convention: 50 points An interclub attending MO-ARK District Convention: 25 points
A bonus of 10 times the number of clubs in YOUR div. if ALL clubs in your Div. Are inter-clubbed within the contest period. Points for miles driven ONE WAY are.
An additional 100 bonus points will be earned if you visit every club in another Div. An additional 100 bonus points if everyone in your club attends an interclub.
Each club’s interclub chairman is asked to please keep accurate records, and report interclubs to your club secretary. Please include the miles traveled one way. How many attended and the amount of points earned at the end of the year.
Thanks to all of you for the GREAT work you are doing to represent Kiwanis. Please continue to send in your interclub reports to me at the end of the Kiwanis year. The information that I receive from International does not tell me the information I need to determine who the winners are in each Div. So please answer all the questions that give you points.
All clubs submitting Inter-club reports will be awarded a banner patch.
