Eight MO-ARK Kiwanis clubs completed their Model Club pledges for ELIMINATE in October 1, 2017-September 30, 2018, Kiwanis year. What does this mean? These eight clubs (Bella Vista, Ferguson, Jefferson City, Lee’s Summit, Maplewood, Union, O’Fallon) have given at least $750 per member since the inception of the Kiwanis International signature service project to eliminate maternal/neonatal tetanus. They have protected and saved more than 415 mothers and their babies per member.
We now have 25 of our 49 pledged model clubs who have completed their pledge and many are continuing to protect and save mothers and their babies in the 14 countries that have not been verified by UNICEF to be free of the dreaded disease of maternal/neonatal tetanus.
The MO-ARK District pledge: $1,800,000 protecting and saving 1 million mothers and their babies is nearing $1,650,000 paid. Keep up your generous giving and we will pass our goal in 2020. One of the best ways to give is by giving a ZELLER Fellowship ($1250) to someone in your club or community who loves kids. You can get a lot of publicity for giving ZELLERS.
On the next page is a chart of how our model clubs are doing as they support the Eliminate project and protect and save the most vulnerable of the world’s mother’s and babies. Three clubs are Gold Clubs having given more than $1000 per member. Five more clubs have given more than $800 per member.
Don’t stop, Don’t give up, Don’t be satisfied until maternal/neonatal tetanus is eliminated! Now is the time to be generous and protect and save the lives of mothers and their babies. THANK YOU!!!
